In October 2020, VIRTUO successfully delivered a 10,000 m2 tri-temperature platform to the PRET A MANGER group, on the former BA 217 military airbase in the commune of Plessis-Pâté, Essonne (91). The first pallets arrived in mid-November. The building comprises a negative-temperature cell (-25°C) of around 1,500 m2, two positive-temperature cells (+2-4°C), one of 800 m2 and the other of 1,000 m2, and 2 ambient-temperature cells of 1,000 m2 and 2,500 m2 respectively.

These cells are used to store food products, which serve all the group’s sales outlets.

It was a very important project for us, and the VIRTUO teams managed to see it through to completion on schedule, despite an exceptionally complicated situation. “All parties working on this project have shown great resilience. In fact, this is one of the few construction sites that continued to progress during the first lockdown and the sale of this asset to an investment fund managed by NUVEEN took place on March 18, 2020, in the midst of the lockdown,” explains Grégory BLOUIN, President of VIRTUO.
