VIRTUO, a company with a mission specialized in sustainable and innovative projects, has finalized the acquisition of a 7.4-hectare site near Metz, in the Moselle, Greater Eastern region. V.PARK Ennery will be developed at the heart of the Eurotransit hub, the largest industrial and logistics hub in eastern France. The 520-hectare zone is already home to some 110 companies and 7,200 jobs, including PSA, AGCO, Aldi, Pomona, Chaussea, Geodis, DB Schenker, France Boissons, Kuehne+Nagel and the Schneider Group.
A strategic geographic location
The logistics real estate specialist has thus established itself in the attractive Grand Est region, where the transport-logistics sector is a strategic one. And with good reason: the proximity of this new V.PARK to the A4 and A31 motorways, the port of Thionville-Illange – providing access to the Rhin towards the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam, T – and the airports of Metz-Nancy-Lorraine, Luxembourg-Findel and Brussels, give it a strategic location in France and Europe.
Low-carbon development in line with VIRTUO’s raison d’être
Ultimately, the acquisition of this land, for which planning permission and ICPE permits have already been obtained, will enable the development of a state-of-the-art 26,525 sq.m logistics platform. This ready-to-build warehouse will be certified BREEAM Excellent. This single-sided platform will feature three warehousing cells, an office block, 25 docking stations, two level ramps and a 150-space parking lot for vehicles.
Grégory Loesel, Head of Development, Associate in VIRTUO
« We are delighted to announce the launch of our second development in the dynamic Grand Est region. This project represents a new stage of growth and opportunity for the VIRTUO group, in line with our innovation and environmental objectives.
Strategically located in an area dedicated to logistics and industry, the future V.PARK Ennery will be set up in a geographical area where major logistics players are already established.
This new-generation building fits perfectly with Virtuo’s société à mission approach. In close partnership with the Communauté de Commune Rives de Moselle, we will be focusing on sustainable construction, with an architectural and landscaping treatment designed to preserve its sources of biodiversity.»
