VIRTUO & XPLOG inaugurate V.PARK FOS2, on Distriport FOS (13), in partnership with GPMM.
Grégory BLOUIN, President of VIRTUO, and Olivier JEAN BAPTISTE, General Manager of XP LOG, a subsidiary of SEALOGIS, inaugurated the V. PARK FOS 2 port logistics platform on the FOS DISTRIPORT on Thursday, December 2nd. The ceremony took place in the presence of the President of XP LOG SEALOGIS, Christophe BUISSON, Mr. Hervé MARTEL, President of the Board of Directors of the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille, and several elected officials, who honored us with their presence, Mr. Martial ALVAREZ, Mayor of Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône Mr. François BERNARDINI, Mayor of Istres, President of the Territory Council of Istres-Ouest Provence and Vice-President of the Metropole Aix-Marseille-Provence and Mr. Régis PASSERIEUX, Sub-Prefect of the district of Istres.
After V.PARK FOS 1, Virtuo Industrial Property, which specializes in logistics platform development, is now unveiling V.PARK FOS 2, the second asset in its logistics park, located in the heart of the Fos-sur-Mer Distriport hub at the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille Fos.
In addition to the 43,103 m² of V.PARK FOS 1, more than 24,00 m² have now been added to the second building, V.PARK FOS 2, at Distriport in Port Saint-Louis-du-Rhône. This second platform, built in JV with a fund managed by CBRE IM and the prime contractor HTC, was designed for XP LOG, a subsidiary of Sealogis, one of the leaders in port logistics in Le Havre. This turnkey building was perfectly adapted to meet the needs and specificities of XP LOG and its customers. For example, docks were installed for receiving containers directly and a parking area for trailers was built to guarantee the smooth running of the customer’s daily activities.
Meanwhile, V.PARK FOS 2 is equipped with photovoltaic panels on the roof of its building, which ensures virtually complete energy self-sufficiency. The site will also benefit from a BREEAM very GOOD environmental certification. “To carry out this project, we joined forces with XPLOG’s teams, from the signing of the lease to the delivery of the building. Virtuo’s teams are delighted with the result and proud to be part of XP LOG’s first venture into the territory of the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille Fos, after a major expansion in Le Havre”, explains Grégory Blouin, President of Virtuo.
