VIRTUO INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY, a logistics real estate specialist in France with headquarters in Paris, has chosen LEGENDRE ENERGIE, a subsidiary of the LEGENDRE GROUP, to equip the roof of its new Miribelan site with a self-consuming solar power station. With a power of 158 kWp and currently under construction, this photovoltaic installation will be operational in Spring 2021.
A logistics warehouse of over 37,000 m² certified “BREEAM Very Good”
Located northeast of Lyon, 15 kilometers from the city, on a former industrial zone in Miribel, the future logistics platform will consist of 6 commercial and office units with a total surface area of 37,300 m².
VIRTUO INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY, which has more than 500,000 m² of warehouse space under development wanted to build a project that would be seamlessly integrated into its environment and energy-efficient, aiming for BREEAM Very Good certification (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method). The company reused the material recovered during the demolition of the old industrial zone for the construction of this new platform. Consideration is also being given to insulation so as to optimize heating of the premises, and work is being done on water reuse to limit the impact of the warehouse on the environment. Finally LEDs will be installed in the various commercial cells to limit energy consumption.
As part of this “green” approach, VIRTUO INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY also wished to equip the roof of its warehouse with a self-consumption solar power station and entrusted LEGENDRE ENERGIE with its construction.
The first PV panels were installed at the beginning of March 2021.

100% of the energy produced will be self-consumed for the needs of the site
With a power of 158 kWp and a total of nearly 500 photovoltaic panels, this self-consumption installation will produce 180 megawatt-hours each year, all of which will be reused for the energy needs of the VIRTUO INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY company’s logistics platform. The LEGENDRE ENERGIE teams are currently working on the project and expect it to be commissioned early next Spring.
