VIRTUO & ATLANTIC plant the first tree of the V.PARK LYON-SQF (38)

Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, April 04, 2019: Grégory BLOUIN, President of VIRTUO and Olivier ROUSSY, Supply-Chain Manager of ATLANTIC Air-Conditioning and Ventilation – a leading French industrial brand -, planted the first tree of the development project named “V. PARK LYON – SAINT-QUENTIN-FALLAVIER”, which involves the construction of a future 12,000 m2 logistics platform in the Chesnes Nord ZAC, in Isère (38). The ceremony took place with Mr. Michel BACCONNIER, Mayor of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier and Mr. Raymond FEYSSAGUET, President of SARA (Société d’Aménagement Rhône-Alpes) and Vice-President in charge of economic development of the CAPI (Communauté d’Agglomération Porte de l’Isère).

Construction began in January 2019 and the building is scheduled to be up and running by August 2019. This latest generation building will boast a prime location: southeast of Lyon, in Isle d’Abeau, leading logistics site in France (with more than 2 million m2 developed) and 3rd in Europe. The new class A logistics platform will benefit from BREEAM environmental certification and is fully leased to a leading French industrial company.

According to Grégory BLOUIN, President of VIRTUO: “We are currently located in one of the most sought-after logistics zones in France, we are very happy to be able to pursue our development and to welcome a company like ATLANTIC.”

ATLANTIC has chosen to set up in the logistics zone of Isle d’Abeau. This project will help “increase the available storage space to keep up with sales”  says Olivier ROUSSY, Supply-Chain Manager of the Air Conditioning and Ventilation Division.

For this transaction, ATLANTIC was advised by CBRE GLS LYON and VIRTUO by SEVEN IMMOBILIER and ARTHUR LOYD LOGISTIQUE.

How this project came about:

Q3 2018: VIRTUO acquired a plot of land located in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, in the urban community of Portes de l’Isère, from SARA, the ZAC developer, and was planning to build a new 12,000 m2 logistics platform.

Q4 2018: VIRTUO signed a lease in future state of completion with ATLANTIC, a leading French industrial brand specializing in heating, ventilation and air conditioning, for the completion of the building.

End of March 2019: VIRTUO signed the sale of the asset (VEFA sale) with the Eurozone Logistics Fund (ELF), managed by BNP Paribas REIM Luxembourg.

A turnover of 250 M€ in 2018 and a workforce of 500 employees on its site in Meyzieu (69).
