To support the development of its activities, boosted by the boom of e-commerce, Colis Privé has teamed up with Virtuo, a company specializing in the development of logistics platforms, to build a 15,000 m2 distribution center near Roissy airport, to be delivered in Q2 2022.
In 2020, which was a challenging year due to COVID, the e-commerce sector for the sales of goods grew by 32%. In this context and with a view to growing its business, Colis Privé, expert in parcel delivery to private homes and drop-off/pick-up locations, is expanding its logistics network with the construction of a new hub in the Greater Paris area. Frédéric Pons, co-founder of Colis Privé, said: « The shift in spending habits has had a lasting impact on the e-commerce sector. To support the growing demand from e-retailers and meet consumer needs, we need to adapt and scale our network, especially in Paris. To carry out this project, VIRTUO, commissioned by Colis Privé, has chosen a 5-hectare plot of land near Roissy airport, more specifically in Compans, Seine et Marne (77). This signature marks the launch of the V.PARK CDG project for the construction of a new 15,000 m2 distribution center for Colis Privé.

Work will begin in early summer, with delivery scheduled for Q2 2022.
VIRTUO has entrusted CLC INGENIERIE with the execution of this project, designed by the architectural firm AECO. The 14,200 m2 courier hall will be used for sorting and distributing parcels. We will pay particular attention to the environmental aspect: we plan to install photovoltaic panels on the roof, non-waterproofed parking spaces for cars to limit soil artificialization, and systems to limit energy consumption in the building and outside. In addition, the building will benefit from a BREEAM VERY GOOD environmental certification.
